'Ignorance is your new best friend"
Ever heard this line? Sounds familiar? Yeah this is a line from Ignorance from Paramore (if you ever heard about this band)
Why suddenly out of nowhere I'm going to discuss about Ignorance?
Because from my observation, I think Ignorance is the most severe disease among our society no matter which country you come from
Even my family members also suffered this kind of disease but not many people want to be a doctor who can cure this disease
Why? because they also suffered this filthy disease
Do you ever wonder how many people on this earth really determine to solve this problem?
No, because you are also oblivious over these kind of things
There are lots of ignorance exist in our life and I can't even list all of it here and I'm just gonna highlight the important ones only
1.Education System
I'm not going to say that our country education system is worse or something but for me it's okay but we need to upgrade in some aspects. This is from my own experience, I'm from SMK and I'm proud to be one, all the teachers in SMK are so determine and very meticulous on every student but when I moved to SBP I can see most of the students from SBPs learn and study by themselves . For me, the existence of teachers in the class didn't give any effect on my learning process (Maybe some subjects did but most of it didn't especially biology and physics) I'm not going to suggest any ways or suggestion for our education ministry to upgrade our education system because I know how I am. I'm just only a 16-year-old teenager who doesn't have a matured thinking yet. But I'm going to advice all teachers to not neglect their students who are not perform very well in their studies and don't teach your students just for exams but for the sake of knowledge. We, students, go to school everyday not for exams only but we thirst for knowledge. Exams mean nothing in my life, its just a stack of papers that you need to write on it. That's all and in the end of the all the papers will end up in recycle centre and dustbin.
Actually, to be honest from my deepest soul, I really hate when my teachers always mention exams while they are teaching
"this topic will be asked in out mid term exam so read this topic thoroughly"
"exams are next week so I'll make an extra class this evening"
"grades are important"
These.... make me feel sick and make me feel so reluctant to go to school and i found this comment on youtube which really describe my life as a student
(credit for him/her)
So, I think we are out of topic right now, but never mind. I've been stressed out over my studies started this year because my parents just sent me out to an SBP without my willing. Honestly, I never stressed about studies before because my teachers from my older school never mentioned or scared me with exams but here, everyday they mentioned about it. Being a student who is not really excel in every subject like the school wanted, it kind of frustrated.
I'm gonna share you one of my experience during my arabic lesson
Okay, I'm one of those students in class which teacher never mention their names (I'm kinda invisible in class even though i sit in the front of the class)
the teacher was teaching some grammar or rules of sentences of arabic which I don't understand a single thing. if the teacher read this (impossible tho) even though it'd been a year, i still can't understand what are you teaching about and you can put all the blames on me and I will accept it whole-hearted.
And back to the story, she kinda yelled and scolded one of my classmates because he couldn't answer her question correctly. And me, being the one in the class who didn't know a single thing she was teaching about just stare at the book thinking about my fate if she knew my situation.
it really sad when people judged you over your result and made a very offensive comparison
for example
"why this student got A but you failed. This paper is your gold chance......"
*deep sigh
What the person said above is true overall. Many students commit suicide because studies. That's what people think, but from my view, studies didn't drive students to commit suicide but people around them did especially parents, teachers and relatives and also ignorance amongst their friend.
That's all for #1 topic for ignorance and I will update the second thing that we are being ignorance for all this time on the next entry.
